Fashion Fails

As much as I love Fashion, I must admit, I was not a "Fashionista" growing up, by any means. Not much has changed since then, but I thought it would be great to take a trip down memory lane and relive those cringing fashion moments for some laughs and a bit of fun. I was tagged by my lovely friend Daniel from allaboutdaniel on YouTube to do this TAG, so let's get to it!

Which era did you grow up in?

I was born in the 80's, however I don't remember anything about my "Fashion Sense" until the 90's. I am essentially a 90's kid anyhow.

What pop culture influenced the way you dressed?

Ahh yes, definitely the "Pop" culture. Now, I was not one who followed the trends (again, not much has changed!), however I was influenced by a lot of my favourite pop bands and movies, including girl band Girlfriend in the 90's and movies like "Clueless". I also loved All Saints, which I found their style to be casual and cool, a phase I went through as well. I can't say I ever pulled off those looks, but without a doubt I was inspired!

Growing up what was your most worn item/s?

Oh gosh, it would have to be any kind of "Hoodie". Although my taste in fashion always evolved, I found comfort (and still do) in wearing a "Hoodie". It was actually more for comfort rather than style, and it kinda made me feel cool lol!

Anything else you wore then that you would still wear now?

As above! I still love "Hoodies" and I don't think they ever will be unfashionable...

If you could go back in time, is there anything you'd prevent yourself from wearing?

Hmm... where do I start?! Haha. Windbreakers (I thought I was so cool), and Hyper color Tees - do you remember them? No one seems to remember them! They were made from temperature-sensitive fabric that went from one color to another depending on the temperature, and they changed color when you touched them. Do you guys remember them?!

Which era would you choose to grow up in?

For the sake of fashion, it would have to be the 1930's. I love the way fashion evolved in that era, where fashion was bold yet still elegant and sophisticated.

One item of clothing you wish you didn't throw away?

I would say boot leg jeans. I know boot leg's are still worn today, but I threw them out when I got into Skinny Jeans and I think boot legs are still quite trendy!

What pop culture/celebs influence the way you dress now?

Right now, I am very much in love with Rachel Bilson, Nicole Richie, and Jessica Alba's style. They always dress so impeccably and effortlessly, and are very much aligned with my kind of style!

Was there ever an item you didn't like but let/made others wear it?

Not that I can recall, honestly!

What fashion item do you want to bring back into style?

I honestly don't know what item hasn't come back into style! However a trend I would probably not wear, but would be very amused to see is the "Blossom" hat. They're cute!

Thanks to Daniel for tagging me, was so fun to reminisce about the good ol' days (or were they?!). What are some of your "Fashion Fails"? Would love to know!

Til next time, cheers xox
